Introduction

The past season saw healthy growth across community rugby, with 26,000
women and girls playing contact rugby, overtaking our target a year
ahead of schedule, the O2 Touch milestone of 20,000 registered players
outstripped and the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First target of 500 clubs and
schools pledges met.

Our nationwide Inner Warrior Campaign also boosted women’s playing numbers and
we saw 166 net growth in adult male teams playing at least seven fifteen-a-side matches.
We launched our first of a planned 100 floodlit Artificial Grass Pitches, which will see
more rugby played more of the time.
And we made many loans, grants and gave lots of guidance to clubs on everything
from fundraising to taxation and grounds maintenance to the best buying options.

Our clubs and helping them to be sustainable businesses at the heart of their community
Being part of England Rugby remain of paramount importance.
There are many resources on offer and a variety of ways we can help. So I do hope that
this Benefits Guide proves useful and that you have a successful and very enjoyable
brings many benefits and for the 2017/18 season.
